All
undergraduate science majors must now see an advisor every
semester. In particular, math majors should see an advisor
this spring and have a Math advising form signed and turned in
to the Math Dept. office before the end of the semester.
The probability of finding an advisor this summer is close to
zero. Students who do not take care of the
advising requirement this spring will have an
advising hold
placed on their record which will prevent them from
registering for fall classes until the hold is removed.
You should bring the
following with you when you meet with your advisor:
1.
Advising Form
2. Degree Progress Report or unofficial transcripts.
To print a copy of your
Degree Progress Report,
1. Log into the MySJSU Portal
at
http://my.sjsu.edu/
2. In the "Academics" section of the Student Center, click on
"Degree Progress."
3. Make sure "San Jose State University" is selected as the
Academic Institution.
4. Choose "Academic Advising Report" from
the "Report Type" drop-down menu and click "Go."
