 Class Contract For My  Students

You are enrolling in a college class, and you will be expected to act in a mature responsible fashion. I expect you to obey the following rules while you attend this class. Inform me of any problems you have with regard to these rules.

The Rules

  1. There are 30 class meetings during the semester. Attendance will be taken. If you miss more than 6 class meetings then your grade will be computed with the  homework and quiz part of the grade removed.  This includes classes missed due to illness. If you miss more than 8 class meetings, at my discretion I will lower your final grade in the class or possibily give you a WU and not let you take the final. If you are more than 15 minutes late it will be counted as missing 1/2 a class.
  2. I expect you to remain in class until the end of class. This includes leaving the classroom to use the bathroom. Make sure to use the bathroom before you come to class.
  3. I will distribute handouts or return material on two consecutive days only, after that you need to come to my office to pick up anything you missed.
  4. You are expected to not carry on conversations during class. After two warnings  I will move you to a different desk.
