Biographical sketch

I studied at the University of Belgrade (former Yugoslavia, now Serbia) and University of California at Berkeley, where I worked with Charles Pugh. Click here for my mathematical genealogy. (My mathematical siblings are Sebastian Schreiber and Amie Wilkinson.)

After a postdoc at the University of Illinois at Chicago and University of Southern California, I spent five years at UC Berkeley in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, as a research scientist and lecturer. I joined the Math Department at San José State University in the fall of 2004.

My main research interests are dynamical systems, subriemannian geometry, and almost anything that interweaves analysis, geometry and topology. One could call such mathematics "global analysis".
