objective
to learn how to use graphing calculators, to learn how to use the display window effectively, and how to find solutions to functions in three different ways

key ideas and/or vocabulary
calculator keys:  graph, wind, zoom (zin, zout, zstd, zprev, box, zoomx), stpic, math (root, isect), solver, custom, {, }

solved problems - using key ideas
#2.  finding the correct display window
#8.  custom, finding correct display window
#9.  periodic functions

example:  f(x) = esin(x)  , stpic

SOLUTION.
The function crosses the x-axis at least 9 times.   There is some question about whether the graph crosses the x-axis around x = 7.

By using the command box and zooming in around x = 7 we obtain the graph below that indicates that there are exactly 9 solutions to the equation.
